“Where to start? What is the role of a coach?

As I see it, a coaches role is not to supply all of the answers (nice as that sounds) …. but to help you figure out the what the answers are for you. Carol does this by asking the right questions. She has a wonderful ability to focus in on what is important and to guide her client through the process of figuring out what is important to them. Going through this process with Carol not only helped me narrow in on my priorities as I was focusing on a job transition, but it gave me the skills to use going forward whenever decision were needed.

Through her astute questioning, Carol also helped me identify areas that were challenging to me AND helped me find resources that were available to improve on skills or get information that I considered important.

Finally, Carol helps break down daunting tasks into manageable pieces that are easy to commit to. She taught me the power of identifying what can be done in a particular time period, and then committing to getting it done. With this approach, I was able to make significant progress in the areas I committed to. ”
